Matt 4:3 “If you are the Son of God,” Sometimes I don’t
think we’re very smart. The devil keeps
using the same old tricks and we keep falling for them. The tempter is trying to get Jesus to
question what God had said to him. This
is the same trick the serpent used on Eve in the garden. Gen 3:1 “Did God really say…?” The devil wants us to question God. How can God love someone like me? If God really loved me why would he let me go
through…? Where is God in the midst of
all this? I want to encourage you today
as we go through Lent that God is faithful.
We can stand on his word and we can trust him. Don’t allow the devil to steal your joy or
convince you to doubt the love of your heavenly Father. Let’s wise up and not continue to fall for the
same old tricks.
What aspect of God do I doubt?
What aspects am I sure of?
What Scripture can I hold on to?
Lord, forgive me when I doubt you and your word. Give me more faith and help me to walk in
joyful obedience. Strengthen me when I
am weak. Thank you for the truth of your
word and that all your promises are yes in Christ and so we say amen to your
glory. Amen!
