Trustworthy

“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ” (Matthew 4:6 NIV)
Although the devil used scripture he twisted it. Ps 91 is about trusting God, not putting Him to the test. This Scripture does not say we should take needless risks. God gave us a mind and we should use it. Testing God or insisting on seeing miracles is the opposite of trust. He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. (Matthew 12:39 NIV).
How am I testing God rather than trusting Him?
Do I need to see miracles in order to have faith?
Lord, I do believe;help me in my unbelief. I'm sorry for when I put you to the test instead of trusting you. Thank you for your mercy and your grace. Amen.
